Earth is the foundation. It is the building block, strong and comforting. Like a nest it is purposeful and tranquil.
Zaa is the creative energy that makes it come alive. It is robust, elegant, sassy and unique. It is what gets you excited. It is what makes you smile, it is vivacious, it is ever changing.
My name is Suzanne Bolding. I have the gift of seeing the possibilities in spaces. Never having had much money, I have had to be very creative in bringing my design visions to fruition. There is a lot of improvising and patience involved in doing design this way. When I do have an “epiphany”(one of my creative ideas) I need to make it happen. This is where the fun begins. Can it physically be done? Is it functional? How can I do it for the least amount of money? Can I modify something I already have? Where do I get the materials? I love putting the pieces of the puzzle together. It is not just the ideas but also the physical aspect of creating a cohesive, beautiful and nurturing space .
So, here I find myself facing yet another crossroad in life. On this path I have found, I don’t “have to do anything”. I get to do I what I love to do . My Zaa is coming through and I get to share it with the world. I have great ideas that can help others find the Zaa in theirs too. I have design inspirations that I would like to share as well as the techniques I have learned to make them a reality.
Now, I don’t pretend to be an accredited designer. I do, however, have a passion for interior design. I pay attention to talented people. From them I try to learn as much as I can and store that information about the “how to” and “whys”. Then I take my ideas and twist them into realistic designs within my budget and space constraints. I am here to share that experience. I want to empower others to create comfortable spaces that reflect their own personal Zaa. I want to turn good ideas into great ones. Together with a sense of humor and adventure, we can do anything we envision. Together anything is possible.
